Ritual Elements & Symbolism

• Brown fabric as the foundation, grounding us in Earth’s stability and abundance
• Black candle to honor the shadows of the Dark Season we are entering, reminding us of rest, release, and inner reflection
• Orange/Gold candle to celebrate the abundance of the harvest, representing prosperity, gratitude, and the warmth of the sun’s final glow before winter
• White candle to hold space for the returning light after the darkest night, honoring the promise of renewal at Yule and the sun’s rebirth
• Red wine offered in ritual as the “blood of the Earth.” Its deep crimson carries the life force of the land itself - born of sun, soil, and vine. In offering it, we honor the Earth’s sacrifice, give thanks for its nourishment, and connect with the eternal cycle of death, rebirth, and abundance
• Seasonal decorations and offerings to connect us with the harvest’s blessings and the rhythms of nature. Attendees are welcome to bring their own offerings or decorations if they feel called to contribute
