- Soothing for stiff, cramped muscles
- Supports a healthy digestive system
- Great addition to perfume or cologne
With just a single whiff of Allspice you will experience its impeccably warm, spicy aroma, which is reminiscent of cinnamon and cloves, yet subtly sweeter. Native to the beautiful tropical Caribbean Islands, dried berries from the Pimenta officinalis tree are crushed and steam-distilled to produce this essential oil.
Whether it’s used as a fragrant enhancer, in a massage application, or diffused into the air, Allspice is an exotic essential oil you'll appreciate cozying up to during the colder seasons. In addition to its complementary aroma, Allspice can be used to help alleviate stiffness and cramping in muscles thanks to its warming and stimulating characteristics. It can also be used to help with indigestion and upset stomach, especially when blended with other carminative oils.
How to Use
Aromatic: Diffuse using 1-2 drops per 100 mL of water.
Topical: Dilute to a maximum of 0.3% in a carrier.
This essential oil can be a potential skin irritant if too much is applied topically. To use safely, a 0.3% dilution in a carrier oil is recommended, which is approximately three drops per ounce of carrier oil. You can also dip a toothpick in Allspice, then swirl it around in your carrier oil or essential oil blend to impart its warm, spicy qualities.
